In this section, you will find universal links which will help to explain Esophageal Atresia and Tracheoesophageal Fistula (EA/TEF), as well as the VATER/VACTERL syndrome that may be associated with EA/TEF.
Not all EA/TEF infants are born with signs of the VATER/VACTERL, but it is important to ensure your hospital has testing done on your infant to rule-out any other possible birth defects that may have formed but were not detected prenatally. It is also, important to be aware that almost all infants born with EA/TEF suffer from some form of tracheomalacia.
We searched for and developed resources to help you navigate through the complexities of EA/TEF.
Very good internet resource that touches based on everyting from GI/Nutrition to Reflux and Respiratory issues.
